Heh... it's a funny comment, really. Perhaps it's a language thing, or maybe some sort of getting wrapped up in the words. I understand what you are trying to say, but in a literal interpretation of your comment it leaves me wondering: The woman is beautiful, for certain, but without the effort of trying to capture her beauty in an image, would you still think she was as beautiful?

It's akin to "if a tree falls in the middle of the woods and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?". Being in the business of "creating" beauty, I have seen how a model can go from the "just rolled out of bed" look to astounding beautiful after hair & make-up. I've seen beautiful women look barely average inside the camera and women who look "just pretty" look absolutely glamorous to the camera's eye.

While Rochelle is, in fact, absolutely stunning, it is really the concert of model and photograph that creates the beauty.

:) I see your point. You're saying that a model can't be more beautiful than the camera allows it, in a way.

What I meant was that the thing that captured my attention wasn't the technical part of the photo (not the composition, not the colours, etc, even though they are all OK), but the beauty of the subject. Like if you photograph a car, for example, unless the photo itself is absolutely extraordinary, you won't admire the photo, but the car. Or, maybe a better example: if you photograph an erupting volcano, no matter how great the photo turns out, the beauty of the phenomenon itself cannot be matched. And the viewer will admire the phenomenon in the first place, don't you think ?
